At Thanksgiving time, we work with the Broward Sheriff's Office and the Change Me Foundation to distribute meals to more than 300 families and individuals.
To donate toward this year's meal distribution, contact Jarvis Brunson, DBCC Director of Operations, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
During the Christmas season, we partner with the Broward Sheriff's Office in Deerfield Beach for their annual "Shop with a Cop" experience.
Children in our community have the opportunity to shop for a Christmas present with a local BSO officer, while parents enjoy refreshments and conversation with our law enforcement professionals.
For information about this and other Christmas projects, contact Jarvis Brunson, DBCC Director of Operations, at email@example.com.
Deerfield Beach Community Cares is an active partner in the local community and in Broward County!
In addition to hosting our own series of educational forums and community gatherings, we participated in town hall meetings hosted by local partners like the PTA/PTSA of Broward County and the Broward County Public Schools and were invited to attend monthly meetings of the Educational Advisory Board in the City of Deerfield Beach.
Beginning in 2022, DBCC participated in the City of Deerfield Beach's Back to School Block Party, giving away colored pencils to students starting school in Deerfield Beach.
"We are so grateful for your community support...As we continue to grow as a community, please know that partnerships such as yours are vital to making these events a success."
Jonathan Salas, Interim Director
Community Services, City of Deerfield Beach
One of the core components of DBCC's work is to bridge communication between local residents and community providers on issues that matter. We are proud to host annual town halls on a variety of topics related to the arc of wellness, including depression, anxiety, and financial wellness. We depend on and appreciate all of the expert panelists who take time to participate in these important events.
