Our health and wellness initiatives focus on where a person or their family is on the arc of wellness, and how to bring them to a place of better health and wellness.
Nina's Place is a free community food market and pantry located on the campus of Zion – Ministries Under the Cross in Deerfield Beach, Florida, and a collaboration of Deerfield Beach Community Cares, Zion Church, and FLIPANY. We anticipate opening in January 2023. For information about Dr. Nina McClelland and opportunities to sponsor this exciting initiative, click here.
Our goal is to address and remediate food insecurity in the community. Nina’s Place will feature fresh produce, meat, and dairy, as well as dry and non-perishable goods, hygiene supplies, baby supplies, and much more. We are planning to partner with 211 to offer meal delivery during the week (primarily to seniors), offer intentional outreach to the unhoused community, and open on Saturdays for individuals and families in need. In order to meet working individuals and parents where they are, we are planning to also be open on weekday evenings early in 2023.
